In April we asked you to tell us what you love about being a member at IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union, and ways we can make your experiences even better.

We asked and you answered–over 3,500 of you! As a thank you for taking the time to help us improve, we’d like to give you a return on that investment. Here are the answers to some of your most common questions and suggestions!

I would love a feature that would allow me to deposit checks by phone! If you don’t already have it…

Good news, members. We DO have mobile check deposit, and it’s awesome. With the mobile app you can quickly and easily deposit checks anytime, anywhere. Just tap, snap and deposit. You’ll love how easy it is.

Sometimes I have to wait a long time to get someone on the phone. I wish there was a faster way!

Have you tried our Online Chat feature? Our Member Service Representatives are available to help you online from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mon- Fri. To start chatting with a representative, visit ihmvcu.org and click “Start Chatting” in the bottom right-hand corner.

One feature I’d like to see is a calculator that would help me figure out what loan terms I can afford!

We know you like options, so we created a feature on our website that allows you to enter variable information, like income, term, loan amount and more. Our financial calculators are designed to help you see and, more importantly, understand all the variables that go into each calculation. Results are immediate so you can compare options and take action.

I just recommend better communication when the website and phone branch may be unavailable. I was told this happens monthly due to some maintenance. Can you send an email or post a banner on the website saying so?

Every month or so Phone Branch, Online Branch and mobile are unavailable so we can do necessary maintenance and upgrades. We try to minimize the disruption to members by scheduling maintenance during hours with low traffic, but we realize it can be pretty frustrating when you don’t have access to your finances.

Stay up-to-date on system maintenance and upgrades by following us on Facebook. We’ll put up a notification a few days before maintenance begins. You’ll also be able to see the same notification on the homepage of our website, and within Online Branch.

Maybe you already have this option. I have a small business and the account is at a local bank – can a credit union host business accounts?
