Alerts That Matter
Aug 19, 2025 || By IHMVCU

We’re switching up how we send you the need-to-know stuff, like online & mobile banking updates, service interruptions, and card hiccups, so you can keep your money game strong.
How to stay informed:
You’ll now get real-time alerts directly in your mobile & online banking experience. If you want to stay informed, we’ll update you through the following ways:
- Mobile banking push notifications
- Mobile & online banking messaging
- In-app mobile banking messaging when you log-in
- Monthly newsletter
This means we’ll no longer utilize social media for these types of updates.
Wait, what are push notifications again?
We get it, your phone probably sends more alerts than your group chat during football season. But trust us, these are the notifications you actually want.
Push notifications are those helpful little messages that pop up on your phone screen, even when the IHMVCU mobile app isn’t open. Think of them as your personal banking assistant giving you a friendly nudge:
- “Heads up, online & mobile banking are temporarily down.”
- “We’re currently experiencing a service interruption with debit and credit cards.”
Basically, if something’s up with your online & mobile banking or cards, we’ll let you know right away. So, you’re not caught off guard.
How do I turn them on?
It only takes a minute to stay in the loop. But keep in mind, only the primary account holder will receive notifications. And make sure to enable notifications in BOTH mobile banking and on your device.
In the mobile banking app, tap More > ⚙️ (gear icon) > Push Notifications and switch on Interact Messages. You also need to make sure you've enabled push notifications on your phone or tablet.
Here’s how to enable push notifications on your device:

- Then go to your device’s Settings
- Tap “Apps”, then scroll down to “IHMVCU”
- Tap “Location”
- Set it to “Always”
🤖 Android phone or tablet
